The Lombard Historical Society will host speaker Dr. Theodore Karamanski of Loyola University on Sunday, July 14, 2013 for the “Second Sunday” history talks.

“Chicago and the  Civil War will be an illustrated lecture about the impact of America’s greatest and most tragic war on the Chicago region.  Chicagoans played a significant role in the conflict and the War had a profound effect on the city’s landscape and identity.

The Second Sunday history talks are held in the Carriage House at the Victorian Cottage Museum, 23 W. Maple, Lombard.  The talk begins at 2:00pm. The Society requests a $5 donation for non-members.  For more information, call 630-629-1885 or visit us at www.lombardhistory.org.
