DESCRIPTION:Sponsors Sought for Civil War Encampment in Lombard\n\n\n\nThe Lombard Historical Society is seeking local businesses or individuals to sponsor famous Civil War legends like Abraham Lincoln\, General Grant\, General Sherman and Frederick Douglass to attend Sweet's Civil War Encampment on October 22 and 23 from noon-4pm.\n\nThe free Civil War re-enactment will be held at the Lombard Common and will feature living history demonstrations\, Civil War re-enactors camped out on the grounds\, food and souvenirs for purchase\, and 1860s era music and games. In order to make this event even more special\, we would like some notable guests from the past to attend. We are asking local businesses and citizens to consider underwriting historic figures like President Lincoln\, General Grant\, General Lee\, and others.
