"Dynasty of Fashion" Fashion Show

 Pull up your leg warmers, tease your hair, and put on your fanny pack – it’s time to bring the fashion of the 1980’s back! If you long for the days of being a material girl living in a material world then you won’t want to miss The Lombard Historical Society and The Ladies Room’s spring fashion show fundraiser “Dynasty of Fashion” on Sunday, April 27.
 
Inspired by the ladies from the show Dynasty, this event will feature fashion, hair, and music from the 1980’s. Test your knowledge of 1980’s pop culture with a trivia contest, and if you are feeling inspired come dressed in your best 1980’s fashion. Dressing up is not required, but one lucky person will be award a “Best Dressed” prize.
 
“Dynasty of Fashion” will take place Sunday, April 27 from 1:30 – 4:00 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 220 S Lincoln Avenue in Lombard. Tickets are $30 each and are available online at lombardhistory.org or at the Lombard Historical Society, 23 W Maple Street, and The Ladies Room, 410 S. Main Street in Lombard. All proceeds benefit the Lombard Historical Society’s Carriage House Expansion Project.
 
Tickets include entrance to the event and a light luncheon. In addition to the fashion show and trivia game, gift baskets from area businesses will be raffled off and vendors will be selling jewelry, one of a kind accessories, and handmade knit and crocheted items.
