Elmhurst Symphony Celebrates 50 Years with Benefit Gala on April 9
As the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra nears the end of its stellar golden jubilee season, Honorary Chairman and Elmhurst community leader Darrell Whistler invites you to join him and other ESO supporters, friends and members on Saturday, April 9 at a benefit gala celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Symphony. Held at the Marriott Oak Brook Hotel, 1401 West 22nd Street in Oak Brook, the evening begins with a reception at 6:00 p.m with music by harpist Janelle Jansen Lake, followed by a performance by the ESO Reunion Orchestra with guest conductor Alison Gaines. After enjoying dinner at 7:00, guests will be treated to a concert featuring flutist Mary Stolper and pianist Jeffrey Panko. Proceeds of a split the pot raffle will benefit the Symphony, including its concerts and outreach programs such as ensemble performances at area elementary schools, master classes by Symphony guest artists, and the Stanger Young Artist Auditions.
