The Victorian Cottage Museum will have its rooms ready for summer cleaning in June and July. The "tidy" Cottage will host a Victorian Cleaning tour that will feature the methods, techniques, and products of a "neat and tidy" Victorian household. Visitors to the Cottage will learn how to polish silver, wash lace curtains properly, clean Victorian carpets, and how to remove dust without a vacuum!
The Cottage is at 23. W. Maple in Lombard.
The tours are open Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00pm. The suggested donation to the museum is $2 per person. To learn more, please visit www.lombardhistory.org
